BMX Freewheel help.?
I have had my bmx for about 4-5 years now with all stock parts.
My rear wheel is bald the tube suck & ill be fixing this soon.
The Main problem I am having is Slipping. When i go to pedal sometimes it just spins down until it catches. The problem to me seems to be the freewheel.
I have never replaced this part before and was wonder if I’m correct that it’s the freewheel needs to replaced? If i am correct Then is it possible just to buy any freewheel and replace my old one?

Yes you are right, the ratchet mechanism within the sprocket are shot.
You can go on eBay usually and pickup a replacement depending on brand & tooth count for under $20. But, those gears can be on there pretty tight even for someone using proper shop tools; take it to a shop that is local & has a good rep, check around there may be even a community shop where you can make a donation and someone will help you install the part if you decide to buy your own.
